To close the month of September, the best swell of the summer 2020 arrived in Puerto Escondido and what seems to be the last big swell of the season. It did not disappoint.

He arrived with three incredible days of good-sized waves. The first was the most difficult and hectic, but everything worked out so that Wednesday the 30th was an epic day of constant barrels.

Then, on Thursday there was still good size, with clean and constant waves until midday.

This was the swell that everyone had been waiting for all summer, as this year there was only one XXL swell on May 10th, when the beaches were still closed due to the pandemic, when an arrangement was made with the authorities to allow locals to surf for a couple of hours.

This is why this swell was so important for everyone, as everyone was able to enjoy the perfect tubes at Zicatela which never disappoint on solid days like the one we just experienced.

We hope that next year 2021 we will have many more days like these in Puerto Escondido, with incredible tubes and open beaches!

Legendary at the peak, always present, Coco Nogales, getting down a good one.

Young Alan Cleland left his Puerto Escondido for the real Puerto Escondido for this swell and was, once again, up to the task.
