The giant swell came in on Black Friday, November 24, 2023, much larger than expected. It has already been repeated on more than one occasion that the size was the same as Eddie's last season.

That day, the biggest, they surfed Jaws, Waimea and the outer and as they went down Haleiwa and Pipe.
