Tube of the month: Beto Muñoz deep and not a drop out of place
“All I could see was my brother yelling, ‘Woooohooo,’ down there. I stayed very still inside the tube, and the wave lengthened, and I came out perfectly, without being touched,” he says.
Story of the protagonist: Beto Muñoz - Video: @cr_surf_performance
The wave was the first of the session, as soon as I entered.
I was with Jaciel, wearing a yellow helmet, and he said to me: “Mae, the wave that’s coming is mine” and then he paddled to the right, and I stayed like to the left side of the peak.
And that wave came and I went for it and I immediately bent down and saw the projection of the wave and I pumped and that pump lifted me towards the tube and I was perfect.
All I could see was my brother yelling, "Woooo!" I stayed still inside the tube, and the wave lengthened, and I came out perfectly, without being touched.
