Last week, the WSL confirmed the holding of the final stage of the regional QS circuit, which qualifies 10 men and 5 women for the challenger events that will determine qualification for the 2023 CT.

It will be another Layback Pro that will take place between April 6th and 10th on the waves of Praia Mole, Florianópolis.

With this, it is now known that the final ranking will include the three stages completed without any discards, two in Floripa and one in Saquarema.

A week later, the first stage of the 2022-2023 circuit will take place, the Rip Curl Pro Mar del Plata. There had been talk of events in Ecuador, of which there is still no news, as well as in Iquique and Arica.

The following surfers have a chance of making it into the top 10 and top 4:

Athletes who are in the CT have their place classified in the challengers so their place is not used for the regional ranking. With three CTs in the top 10, I would rank up to 13th in the challengers.

According to WSL information provided to DUKE, the number of women qualifying for the South American region has decreased from five to four.
