Giorgi, Gundensen and Zariquiey got into the event
The series of the sixth and final challenger of the year, that of Saquarema, were released today by the WSL, showing as main novelty the participation of the young Peruvian Catalina Zariquiey, the Argentine Nacho Gundensen and the Uruguayan Marco Giorgi.
As happened last year in the final stages, several spots for those who have no mathematical chance of qualifying are vacant and opened up for others. Brazil was the biggest winner in the distribution, and has competing surfers such as Marcos Correa, Valentin Neves, Heitor Mueller, Tais de Almeida, Bruna Carderelli, Tainá Hinckel and Karol Ribeiro; all athletes who had not managed to qualify for the CS through the regionals.
The tournament can start tomorrow as the wave forecast is good and the waiting period runs from October 14 to 21.
Below are all the series, as in all challenger series, with a round of 80 and then 64 for men and 48 and 32 for women.
