Tomorrow there will be Santa Marina Challenge

They say that the epic right of Cantabria will work perfectly for the 16 lucky ones who are invited


The Santa Marina Challenge 2019 will take place tomorrow, Friday, March 15, on the epic rock bottom right-hander located on the island of Los Jorganes, in the  municipality of Ribamontán al Mar, in Cantabria, the organization reported in a press release.

The waves are expected to be breaking perfectly all day long: “There will be powerful waves and solid conditions to enjoy a classic day on the right of Santa Marina!” explained Pedro Gutiérrez, technical director of the Cantabrian Surfing Federation, sports director of the event.

These 16 (eight guests and eight locals) are the surfers who will be in the tournament:

- Gonzalo Gutierrez

The event will be held over a single day using the conventional elimination round system. The competition will start at around 9 a.m. and will run until approximately 4 p.m. (approximate time, variable depending on sea conditions), the statement said.
