Weekly Editorial: A great busy agenda for the weeks ahead
2024 enters its final stretch with a lot of good and hidden news, which are detailed here

The agenda for the coming weeks and months is a marvellous one. An agenda worth talking about, digesting and analysing well so as not to miss anything.
Many people may not like it or may have found it difficult to choose where to go, but at the end of the day it is excellent news that there are so many championships taking place in a short period of time, many of them overlapping.
If you look at the top, the same weekend as the ALAS in Peru, there is the Central American in Guatemala and the third stage of the world tour in Abu Dhabi. And, on the final day of that weekend, the 29th, the Ericeira Challenger begins and in the middle of the Challenger, the Punta Rocas Pan American begins (2 to 13).
Then, in the middle of the Pan American Games in Punta Rocas, there are the WSL World Longboarding Finals in El Salvador and, at the same time, the final challenger will begin in Saquarema, Brazil (12th to 20th). In addition to the much-missed World Masters Championship, also in El Salvador, the event will take place between October 18th and 24th.
And then, to add more excitement to all this, there is the final leg of the ALAS tour and the QS stages in Puerto Rico, Brazil and Mexico:
-October 17-20: QS from Acapulco
-October 25-27: WINGS of Puerto Rico
-October 30 to November 3: QS from Puerto Rico
-October 30 to November 3: Brazil QS
-November 3-9: World Para Surfing Championships in Huntington Beach, California
-November 8-10: WINGS of Playa Venao, Panama
-November 20-23: WINGS of Guatemala
-November 27 to December 1: WINGS of El Salvador
-December 12-15: QS from Puerto Escondido
These are some of the events on today's calendar, and there are more.
After all, in a couple of months there are about 20 tournaments of global or regional interest in which History will be written.
And since surfing is not all about championships, there will be several beaches left empty (because others will be full) so that free surfers can enjoy themselves without the pros catching all the waves.
This is just a brief note on the coming months, which, following what was said last week, are only good news.
And when there is good news, it is good to share it, highlight it and celebrate it.
And speaking of news, notes or articles, below are some of the main notes shared on DUKE this week.
