Weekly Editorial: The best won
And the injustice of the finals was once again avoided; showing that it was all show for show and no sport… Let this nonsense of the finals end once and for all!

It doesn't always happen and with the new format there are injustices where surfers who weren't the best all year end up being world champions.
But this time there was no injustice and that is the most important thing until the day when the blessed finals end once and for all.
But above all, the best won because these two are the best surfers on the planet. John John and Caitlin ride big, they ride rails well, they ride tubes well, they fly with incredible skill and they are incredible personalities, the kind that make professional surfing continue to be something worthy of admiration.
Personalities like before.
This is why I celebrate the result.
Good for Italo who put in a tremendous effort. Everything is OK but I'm tired of an acrobatic move that scores over 8 and changes a series. I row a close, do an aerial and boom, I pass the series.
I like the new WSL judging system, which gives good marks to real surfing, that of John John and Caity, and when I see glimpses of the old one, I really regret it.
Whatever the case, Italo is a beast and his talent and especially his heart and balls are undeniable.
Having said all this, I just have to say that this nonsense about finals should end once and for all.
It's about rejoicing in the drama industry, the Big Brother moment we all want to see, the viralization of nonsense that is passed from cell phone to cell phone. This is not sport, this is the nonsense that Erik Logan created.
It has to end!
Good for John John and good for Caity and until next time.

And a huge hypocrisy; it will be equal when in the CT there are 32 and 32 and in the challengers 80 and 80, or whatever number it is, but it will be equal; until then please stop showing off.
