Who entered the CT for 2019, who is waiting for the Pipe Masters?

After Zeke Lau's victory at Sunset, here's the situation ahead of the Pipe Masters

The final stage of the QS concluded last Thursday at Sunset, the top 10 who will qualify were determined and it remains to be seen who will be the double qualifiers to see if any more surfers get in through the QS.

The names follow and the situation of each surfer is detailed to the side:
1 – Kanoa Igarashi (JPN) – Double qualifier

2 – Griffin Colapinto (USA) – Surely double qualifies

3 – Seth Moniz (HAW) – Will make his CT debut

4 – Ryan Callinan (AUS) – Returns to CT

5 – Peterson Crisanto (BRA) – Will make his debut in the CT

6 – Deivid Silva (BRA) – Will make his debut in the CT

7 – Ricardo Christie (NZL) – Returns to CT

8 – Leonardo Fioravanti (ITA) – Returns to CT

9 – Jadson Andre (BRA) – Returns to CT

10 – Jesse Mendes (BRA) – Stayed thanks to his performance in Sunset.

11 – Soli Bailey (AUS) – This is guaranteed because Kanoa Igarashi double qualifies for sure

12 – Ezekiel Lau (HAW) – Surely double qualifies

13- Jack Freestone (AUS) – If either Ezekiel Lau or Jesse Mendes (unlikely Mendes will double qualify) double qualifies, he will get in. He will probably get in, Lau is solid at 18.

14- Ethan Ewing – Hope springs from the grave: Jesse Mendes should win the Pipe Masters and the cut line should stay where it is. So if Igarashi, Mendes and Lau double qualify, he will be in.

This still requires the wildcard situation for the year to be resolved. It is known that Slater, Ibelli and John John will ask for a wildcard and that there is room for two. We will have to see how the WSL resolves this.
