With a 10 mark included, Joaquín del Castillo won in El Buey
100% Peruvian podium in the competition with Alonso Correa second and Sebastián Gómez third
Peruvian Joaquín del Castillo won the 2024 edition of the classic El Buey big wave event that took place today, Wednesday, November 6, on a day of big, perfect waves at the Arica break.
Del Castillo emerged victorious especially thanks to a wave in which he sent a very critical pocket ride for which he received 10 points in his series, which was the last of the day.
That wave placed him in first place ahead of two Peruvian compatriots: Alonso Correa who was second and Sebastián Gómez who was third.
Del Castillo said that his return after the hip injury he suffered is very important for him and that since the last event he told himself that whenever he could he would return to El Buey looking for the victory that he ended up achieving today.
