WSL announces 2024 Challenger Series schedule
No changes for the B of the world tour
The WSL today announced the 2024 Challenger Series schedule, identical to last year, with stops in Australia, Sydney, Ballito, Huntington Beach, Ericeira and Saquarema.
The four best results of these stages will be counted for the final ranking that will classify the best 10 men and five women for CT 2025.
The circuit has no changes compared to this year.
The dates and location of each stage will be as follows:
-Snapper Rocks, Gold Coast (Queensland, Australia): April 27 – May 4, 2024
-North Narrabeen, Sydney (New South Wales, Australia): May 9 - 16, 2024
Ballito (KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa): July 1 - 8, 2024
Huntington Beach (California, USA): August 3 - 11, 2024
Ericeira (Portugal): September 29 – October 6, 2024
Saquarema (Brazil): October 12 - 20, 2024
The number of members remains the same: 80 men and 48 women. The annual qualifiers will be made up as follows:
-12 men and seven women from the CT who did not make the mid-year cut
-10 men and five women from the previous year's challenger rankings
-Three men and two women who were part of the CT in the previous season who failed to reclassify either by the CT or by the CS
-49 men and 30 women qualify through the seven WSL regional offices
-The world youth champion and champion
-Five men and three women invited per event
